On 20 February 2024, Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre was privileged to receive a visit by Dr. Basel Abu Warda. Facilitated by the team at Salam Foundation, the visit and engagement with Dr. Basel Abu Warda, a Palestinian Doctor with firsthand experience of the genocide in Gaza and significant personal loss due to the ongoing conflict, was both impactful and deeply moving. Dr. Abu Warda shared his harrowing experiences with over 150 learners from the Al Ihsan Muslim School and Al Ihsan Teacher Training Academy, as well as Ulama and staff of the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre, during his visit to the centre.

On Monday; 2 October 2023; Youth of the Ummah – a youth development wing of Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre (DHC) – hosted a successful “Adventure Day” for teenaged youth.

The Al Ihsan Teaching Training Academy and the ‘Youth of the Ummah’ (YOU) of Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre facilitated successful programmes at various schools across the greater Durban area throughout 24-31 July.

Youth of the Ummah’ (YOU) - the youth wing of Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre - held a successful “Day Out” on Saturday, the 7th of December 2019 at ‘Spirit of Adventure’ located in the precinct of the Shongweni Dam, Durban.

The ‘Youth of the Ummah’ – ‘YOU’ is the youth development initiative of Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre. ‘YOU’ conducts ongoing educational and orientation programmes in schools and campuses to develop learners’ potential and Islamic identity.
